Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith

We, the people of the Dublin Community Church, gather together in love and tolerance to seek through prayer, worship, study and fellowship to respond faithfully to God’s Word, so that edified and empowered by the spirit of a loving God, we will grow in faith in order to serve God and witness to our community through acts of love, compassion and healing.

Statement of Faith

We believe in you, O God, Eternal Spirit, God of our Savior Jesus Christ and our God, and to your deeds we testify:

You call the worlds into being, create persons in your own image, and set before each one the ways of life and death.

You seek in holy love to save all people from aimlessness and sin.

You judge people and nations by your righteous will declared through prophets and apostles.

In Jesus Christ, the man of Nazareth, our crucified and risen Savior, you have come to us and shared our common lot, conquering sin and death and reconciling the world to yourself.

You bestow upon us your Holy Spirit, creating and renewing the church of Jesus Christ, binding in covenant faithful people of all ages, tongues, and races.

You call us into your church to accept the cost and joy of discipleship, to be your servants in the service of others, to proclaim the gospel to all the world and resist the powers of evil, to share in Christ’s baptism and eat at his table, to join him in his passion and victory.

You promise to all who trust you forgiveness of sins and fullness of grace, courage in the struggle for justice and peace, your presence in trial and rejoicing, and eternal life in your realm which has no end.

Blessing and honor, glory and power be unto you.

Amen.

Open and Affirming Statement

As people of faith, we believe that God’s love is for everyone.

We honor human relationships that are based on love, responsibility, mutual respect, trust and fidelity.

We embrace each person’s uniqueness.

We welcome and support all people equally regardless of marital, social or economic status, race, ability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, age or religious affiliation.

Therefore, as an Open and Affirming congregation, we invite all persons to join in the full life and ministry of the church and to share its joys, privileges and responsibilities.

Knowing that this commitment poses a spiritual challenge, we encourage each other to accept God’s call to love neighbors as ourselves.

Safe Church Policy

As a community of Christian Faith, the Dublin Community Church is committed to creating and maintaining programs, facilities and a community where members, friends, staff and volunteers can worship, learn and work together in an atmosphere free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, exploitation or intimidation. We expect that those who volunteer with minors will have been members of the Dublin Community Church for at least six months or, if not members, regularly and frequently associated with the Dublin Community Church for at least a year. Registration forms for all children participating in our Sunday School Program must be completed annually and will be kept on site with every class session. Our children are always supervised by two leaders. This is a summarized version of our Safe Church Policy; the complete policy is available upon request from the church office.
